This is a little late, but on Christmas Eve Jake and I built a snowman. He has melted now but we had fun making him.

Snow Storm

It was snowing this morning and the flakes were enormous. The one of my pants is just two snowflakes that landed on me.

New Hair Cut

So I turned 24 on Monday so I decided I need to do something to make myself look and feel younger. So I got my hair cut yesterday. Jake says I look like I'm 12. I told him good I was going for younger. Thanks to Heidi for going with me. This is officially the shortest my hair has ever been.

Happy Birthday to you ca-ake

So we had a little birthday party for Holly tonight and Libby was really excited to sing her happy birthday and blow out her candles. Libby sang "Happy Birthday to you Mommy" at least 10 times today. If you listen the third verse says "Happy Birthday to you cake". Libby really likes birthdays because that means she gets cake. Hooray for birthday cake

Sledding

We bought Liberty and Avery a sled today, and let them use it. Liberty thought it was great and Avery had a pretty good time too. Jake pulled them around the parking lot and then we found some hills by our apartment. Everytime Libby got to the the bottom of the hill she would say, "I wana go again," and of course we did until she was too cold to go any more, even then she didn't want to go inside.

I got dressed all by myself.

So I put Libby down for a nap today. I heard her talking to I went in to get her and noticed that she had on different clothes then when I first put her down. She informed me that she had peed her pants. So she climb up her dresser drawers, and found herself a new outfit. She did pretty well getting herself dressed, I mean everything was going the right direction, but it doesn't even come close to matching. (reminds me of something Jake would have picked out) She was only minus one thing. Underwear! Pretty good for a 2 1/2 year old.

Chirstmas Party

So we had a Christmas Party at our house today. It was a lot of fun. We had the kids decorate Christmas tree cakes. We had a gift exchange and Libby loves her baby dolls. Also Libby is still bouncing off the walls because of all the sugar, but we had a great time. Thanks to everyone for coming.

Pictures with Santa

The girls got their pictures taken with Santa. As you can see Liberty was pretty scared. She did pretty good once she learned that if she sat on Santa's lap he gave her a candy cane. Avery loved Santa, as you can see she liked to look at all the red Santa was wearing. The first one was taken at Bass Pro Shop in the mall and the second one was taken at the Walmart in Zion. We love free photos with Santa!

I would like to buy a hamburger.

I learned how to Blog

So it official, I learned how to blog. Thanks to Adrienne. Jake had set up the blog, but has been busy with school, and didn't have time to up date it. So hopefully I can do a better job at it. We'll see!

Fall

The leaves are changing. We have one tree in front of our complex that shows the season really well.

Libby's gotten kinda bossy

For instance today she was out on our balcony and Holly thought it would be cute if Avery sat next to her. It was all fine until Holly let go of Avery and as soon as she did Libby said, "Get her off...get off....get off..." and she kept repeating it until Holly picked Avery back up. But they did look cute together.

While Holly was gone for her sister's wedding

I grew a mustache. It's nearly invisible but it was pretty sweet. She made me shave it on the way home from the airport

Libby was working on her computer, learning her letters, learning songs and playing games and Avery thought that was a perfect time for her to learn from her big sister.

As you can see Liberty loves Avery. Of course Avery takes it like a good little sister. The last picture shows how she really feels.

Curly Sue

This is what Liberty would look like if she got a perm. Liberty loved sleeping with her curlers in. I thought it would last for a while. I came home just after 4pm and it was straight all over again.

Libby Loves Great America

We went to Six Flags yesterday and Libby was having a grand old time playing with Daffy Duck and her friends Drake and Madeline. She's becoming such a thrill seeker riding those rides with no hands and all. Holly also rode her first roller coaster since Avery was born and she was frightened out of her wits, but sorry we don't have any pictures of that.

Swimming

No we don't have pictures of anyone swimming but since I teach swim lessons and have to swim laps every once in a while I decided to get some goggles. Libby, who thinks all that is dad's is hers, thought she'd try them on one day and she looked superb.

Starting with a bang

We thought we would start our blog off with the newest story that we have and that is my busted finger. I somehow managed to squeeze it in between my handlebars and a fire hydrant at about 20 mph. Needless to say I needed a ride to the ER the day after the 4th of July when all the other idiots showed up after their accidents(I think we were the only ones there, sober ones that is). 6 stitches later, presto it was all back together. Anyways, here are some pics because we know you all want to see the damage.

If I bent my finger at this point you could see the 3rd tendon of extensor digitorum longus on my right hand. Sweet right?
