Playing after the blizzard

We had a crazy blizzard last night and this morning, but decided the drifts might be fun to play in. The kids had a blast climbing up the drifts and eating the snow.

Jake shoveled a small path so we could get in our front door. (Jake didn't have to go to work this morning, thank goodness).
Libby jumping in the snow.

The girls making their way up the buried front steps.

Just showing that we could not open our front door this morning, because of the giant drift in front of it.

Avery wanted to make her own tracks in the snow until she realized how much easier it was to follow Libby's.
Sledding down the drifts.

THAT'S ALOT OF SNOW!! =D We were amazed when we watched the Weather Channel the other morning talking about all the snow that Chicago had received.....the kids wished we still lived there so they could have a "snow day" off of school and play in the beautiful white stuff!! I'm not missing the snow....yet. ;)
