In October Jake had an easier rotation and so we decided to take a family vacation. One of the doctors Jake works with has a beach house in the Virginia Beach area and graciously let us use it.
Bristol loved the beach. She fell in the ocean when we first got there and was afraid of it ever since. Which was fine with me.

Now remember we went in October, so the water was not that warm but the girls dove right in anyways.

Jake brought his wetsuit and borrowed a surf board from one of his co-residents and went surfing almost everyday we were there. He didn't have any really great waves but he had fun anyways.
The last day we were there the weather was perfect and we all got in the water. We had a great trip and it was so wonderful to see Jessi and David and their girls. Hope we get to this again next year.
